I put this image first because it originated from a painting I did in 1976. Many of my 3D work began as painting way before was a glimmer in my eye. Actually this image really began as a dream. It was a brief dream, just this idea of a stairway to a door like of a outdoor apartment with this windchime....go figure.

I built it but added this image years later of the ski mountain in Sun  Valley , Id where I raised my family.

The rendering uses the optical density of the glass to diffract the image of the mountain. This is where 3-D can be so cool to work in.

I did a bit of post processing in a image editing program to crystalize on of the pieces of glass.
